Sturdy Road Lift Station Expansion & Upgrade

The Sturdy Road Lift Station was constructed in the 1980’s as part of the development of the east side of the City of Valparaiso, most notably to accommodate the 1984 sewer interceptor that would serve much of the industrial area southeast of the City.  The upgrade of this lift station and the associated force main is strategic in nature so as to accommodate the expected future growth within the station’s service area.

DLZ Engineering Consultants has been awarded the contract to complete a complex design that will include the pipe crossing of two railroads, working with numerous State of Indiana and Porter County agencies, crossing Salt Creek, coordination with the City of Valparaiso’s US 30 Street Scaping Project and interaction with multiple industrial, commercial and residential landowners.
